Helicopter Repairs and Flying Lessons
New RC pilots in the San Francisco Bay Area can drop by for lessons, coaching, or help setting up or repairing helicopters. If you want some guidance you are welcome to get in touch, and of course all helicopter nuts are welcome to drop by to fly!
Fly your own machines under the watchful eye of an experienced RC heli pilot. Pre-flight coaching helps you know what to expect when the heli spins up and gets in the air. A seasoned RC flier will demonstrate beginning flight maneuvers so you will know what you are going to do. Naturally part of the fun is recording flights on video so you can remember your exploits and post them to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
We have an indoor flying space to practice taking off and hovering sub-micro and micro size heli's and there are nearby outside flying areas suitable for larger models, higher altitudes, forward flight, and circuits.
We have a lot of tools. Before you fly you need to pre-flight your helicopter and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. We can inspect it to see if your CCPM and transmitter programing are accurate. (Setting up the head and programming the Tx are our most popular services.) If you broke it, obtain the necessary parts and we will fix it while you watch, so you can do it next time.
